coffee bar

This was so fun to bring to life! If you’ve been around long enough, you remember that this used to be the opening to my dining room (which I drywalled up since I turned my dining room into my home office).

Last year I had installed an Ikea cabinet for extra pantry space, but really it just became a catch all for small things we didn’t need. I decided to take out the cabinet and make it a more functional. This was what I was left with after taking out the cabinet.

We decided to run some electrical to put in some outlets, that way I’d be able to plug in my coffee pot easily.

I decided to line the wall with shiplap I had leftover from the backsplash I put in the kitchen. It was turning out so good! I had picked up a cabinet from Walmart for under $100 and was so excited to get it installed. I had about 15 inches of space leftover to fill so I decided to get a cute curtain and just put a rolling cart to store stuff behind it.

I found a lot of cute knick knacks on clearance at Hobby Lobby! Target’s new spring launch had a few things I loved too that I grabbed.

Everything finally started to come together! I made a shelf out of a 2×12 and some $2 corbels I picked up from Home Depot that were so beautiful.

And here is the final! It came together just as I had imagined. After getting the shiplap up and the cabinet it, I didn’t like how bare the side walls felt so I picked up this wallpaper from Target and it went perfectly with the space.
