front door

I’ve struggled since moving in to make my entry way feel like a space that I was happy with or loved. My door just felt bland and boring, and I wasn’t quite sure how I could change that. I did update the header to one of the Craftsman Style headers I DIY’d (you can checkout my DIY for that here). But something still felt off.

I kept the black door for a long time but once I redid my hallway, it just didn’t mesh well. Once I finished the hallway, I knew I wanted to try something different on the front door.

I had some leftover Behr Vintage Pewter from the hallway so I decided to try my faux wood DIY out on the door. I was nervous lol and I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised!

The glaze application is always a “trust the process” project lol.

And the final! It turned out better than I had hoped! I gathered up some decor I had in other parts of the house and it all came together so perfectly.
